Spatial Data and Mapping in R

Sign up for this N8 CIR-hosted event to develop your skills in working with geospatial data. R has a powerful set of packages for working with geospatial data, including spatial data analysis, statistics, and cartography. This workshop will introduce the spatial data types to R users, demonstrate the GIS analysis functions, and show how to make publication-quality maps. Sample data and tasks will be supplied, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own data and problems. Attendance requirements: Knowledge of R is required and installed on your laptop. Financial support to attend the meeting: N8 CIR has a Bursary Scheme as part of our commitment to making events accessible to anyone in an N8 university who feels they have a financial barrier to attending.
