PLAYBACK — Media Cymru’s Festival of Innovation, Cardiff

PLAYBACK is Media Cymru’s two-day festival of innovation, showcasing years of R&D investment into the Welsh media sector. Taking place across Tramshed, Tramshed Tech and fringe venues in Cardiff, the event features keynotes, panels, lightning talks and immersive experiences.

Keynotes include Takashi Kudo from teamLab — the Tokyo-based collective known for navigating the convergence of art, science, technology and the natural world. Screenings include a live playthrough of Wales Interactive’s Dead Reset, an interactive horror film where audience choices shape the story.

Topics covered include equality and inclusion in media, digital content, environmental sustainability, finance and funding, and emerging technologies. Single-day and two-day tickets are available.
