Animex 2026 — the UK’s biggest animation, VFX and games festival returns to Teesside

Animex is an international festival of animation, VFX and games hosted by Teesside University for over 27 years. The 2026 edition runs 16–21 November with a packed programme including Animex AVFX, Animex Game, Animex Concept Art, professional workshops, portfolio reviews, and a dedicated research and innovation conference. It’s one of the longest-running creative tech festivals in the UK and draws speakers from major games and film studios.
