NFTS Game Poems Jam
For the first time ever, the UK’s National Film & Television School is hosting a public game jam — and the focus is game poems, an emergent short-form genre that sits at the edge of games, poetry and personal expression.
You get 24 hours to build something playable in a web browser. The theme drops at 12:00 on Monday 7 September, and submissions close at midday on Tuesday 8 September.
• Teams: up to 3 people
• Format: browser-based games only (HTML5/WebGL)
• Judging: industry panel scoring theme interpretation, poetic form, artistic merit and innovation
• Winners announced: Friday 25 September
You don’t need to be an NFTS student, and your game doesn’t need to include words — the brief is about engaging with the idea of poetry through structure, emotion and form.
